A significant number of people die each year from choking on their own vomit DUE TO ALCOHOL POISONING.

"It's not whether you drink or don't drink - it is how much and how often you drink that matters."

Alcohol Poisoning

What is Alcohol Poisoning?

It's true - too much booze in your system can kill.

If a person drinks a lot of alcohol too rapidly (like in drinking games), they may have just guzzled a fatal dose of alcohol. After the person passes out, the alcohol (which is still in the stomach) continues to be absorbed into the blood - raising the BAL. This can result in causing a coma, or even death. Most people don't realize that many people actually die from drinking too much too fast.

Symptoms of Alcohol Poisoning:

  • Passing out, semi-conscious.
  • Cold, pale or bluish skin.
  • Vomiting while sleeping. Many people die each year from choking on their own vomit.
  • Slow or irregular breathing.
  • Less than 8 breaths every minute.
  • 10 seconds or more between breaths
