Veggies and Fruit - Go Bananas!

Vegetables and Fruit provide carbohydrate, many different vitamins and minerals, as well as dietary fibre.

Canada's Food Guide says "Choose dark green and orange vegetables and orange fruit more often". Brightly coloured vegetables and fruits are mother nature's way of telling you these are the ones that are most nutritious - full of vitamin A and folacin.

 

   

Be sure to look for "100% pure" juices. Many drinks that appear to be "juice", like fruit "punches" and "cocktails" have very little real juice and are less nutritious
